Tim Hetherington

Photographer, human rights advocate, journalist, filmmaker, communicator

“I want to record world events, big History told in the form of a small history, the personal perspective that gives my life meaning and significance. My work is all about building bridges between myself and the audience.”

I first saw the work of Tim Hetherington when I picked up his book Infidel in the book shop. I was amazed and inspired by his work from the very first page.

On my way in to work this morning I finished watching a documentary about his life and work, Which way is the front line form here. I urge you to watch it and see for yourself what an amazing individual he was.

I loved his work, and his approach. His work for the charity Pencils of Promise have been a great inspiration for one of my own recent charity projects.

Check out his work.
